HI! I was first introduced to yoga as a kid, watching Lilias Folan on TV. It came back into my life, when I was a stressed-out high school student as part of a gym class alternative. Tucked away in a storage closet, alongside mats, cones, and volleyballs, I found my breath, and moved my body in a way that felt very calming, centering, and not competitive at all. Finally, as an adult, making my way through the crazy world of acting, I found yoga one more time, and this time it took! I found what I had been looking for – a practice that allowed me to move my body with the breath, and express myself in a safe, non-judgmental environment. In 2003, I decided it was time to share my love for the practice. I studied at the Laughing Lotus Yoga Center in NYC and received my 200 hour level certification. I am registered with the Yoga Alliance as an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher. I have continued my studies with Jason Brown of Zenyasa Yoga, completing the 108 hour Anatomy Studies for Yoga Teachers course. I also studied restorative yoga with Judith Lasater and am certified as an Advanced Relax and Renew trainer. My main goal is to make yoga accessible to everyone. To that end, I create a warm and safe environment where participants can explore the practice in a way that meets their needs. In my classes, I strive to maintain the balance of moving fluidly with the rhythm of the breath, while offering detailed alignment instruction. In addition to teaching yoga, I am a Reiki Master and offer private Reiki and Restorative Yoga with Reiki sessions.
