I started practicing yoga when I was about 19 years old, as a way to get exercise without overdoing it, as I have had asthma my entire life. What I found was much more than physical! My seasonal depression lessened through savasana and a regular meditation practice, and I felt a lot stronger both physically and spiritually.
I decided to become an instructor in 2011 and have enjoyed sharing my yoga experience with my classes. It's truly amazing to experience your own journey and contribute to others' as well. I teach Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin yoga with a little Power inspired by Baron Baptiste every so often, with a strong focus on getting to know the self through practice.
