I am a senior level yoga teacher, accredited with the International Yoga Alliance (500hr Registered Yoga Teacher) and a member of the British Wheel of Yoga.
I aim to create classes that are safe, dynamic, intelligently sequenced, intuitive, supportive, gently challenging, and fun, and encourage students to listen to themselves and follow what feels right for them.
Alongside teaching yoga, I am a practising counsellor and psychotherapist as well as a Professional Doctorate candidate with the University of Edinburgh, and in private yoga therapy sessions blend the benefits of both of these approaches to provide clients with a holistic and supportive approach to all aspects of well-being.
I am qualified in and offer Vinyasa Flow Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Fertility Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Hatha Yoga, Yoga Somatics, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga, Kids Yoga, Breath Yoga, and Yoga Therapy.
I believe that yoga can do so much for each of us. It is a truly balancing practice, simultaneously energising and calming, strengthening and softening. It can build resilience and melt stress, on the mat during class and also off the mat in our everyday lives. It provides a space to come into contact with our selves, facilitates self-awareness and self-acceptance, promotes our natural healing abilities, and gives us resources to manage the ups and downs of life. It's a wonderful gift to give to ourselves, and I love sharing it with others.
I use yoga and therapeutic techniques to support clients with physical or emotional conditions including depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, chronic fatigue, breathing difficulties, IBS, and insomnia.
