Bobby believes that yoga is for every body. It is a powerful tool for healthy living in these challenging times. He began practicing as an adult in 1999 in Ukiah, CA, under Mary Pafford’s expert teaching. After relocating to Providence, RI in 2002, he discovered Eyes of the World, where he practiced for six years before taking the teacher training with Tom Gillette. He is lucky to be among the inspirational teachers at Eyes: Shannah Green, Patricia Hottel, Jenn Thomas and Rebecca Foster. He has also studied with master teachers, including Johnny Kest, David Life, Richard Freeman, Aaron Starr, Judith Lasater, Jessie Eisendrath, Josh Summers, Theresa Murphy and Tias Little. Bobby received his CYT-200 hour certification from Eyes of the World in September 2010. Since then he has taught at Breathing Time Yoga in Pawtucket, Miriam Hospital, SF Gamm Theatre, EDGE gym and Eyes of the World. He is also a theatre artist, having directed and acted in many plays in California. In RI, he has acted in plays at Perishable Theatre, The Sandra Feinstein Gamm Theatre and Epic Theatre. He also has provided dialect coaching for shows at Rhode Island College and Brown University. He received his 500-hour yoga teacher certification with Don and Amba Stapleton at Nosara Yoga Institute. He is back in his beloved California, and ready to teach private classes. His classes focus on balancing the breath with body movement, to create a sense of profound well being.
