My name is Blanka Priddle, and I am a fully qualified Hatha and Kundalini Yoga teacher. I have been practising yoga since 1996, and as I could see and feel the effect of the practice on my own body, mind and spirit, I become passionate about sharing this gift with others - becoming a yoga teacher was a natural next step in my life for me. Once I have gotten over the initial fears of standing in front of students, there was no going back. I love what I do, and often catch myself grinning happily as I guide the class through the asana practice.
I teach slow flow Hatha yoga classes with a strong focus on anatomical alignment and individual students’ needs, to ensure a safe and enjoyable practice for everyone, rather than on achieving the ‘book-perfect’ pose. I design my classes with the students in mind, but am also more than happy to stay with the flow and energy of the class rather than following my piece of paper. I enjoy working with students on a more personal level and love to assist during the class to help students develop a sound and safe yoga practice. My approach to both teaching and a practice of yoga is light hearted, seeing yoga as a fun way to make ourselves to feel better on every level. I believe you should always listen to your own body first and foremost, and am a great believer in the huge benefits of a simple child’s pose when that is what is needed.
