I am from Stamford, Connecticut. I was first introduced to Buddhist Meditation and yoga as an undergrad at the University of Dayton. For more than a decade I dedicated my studies to Zen Buddhism and Vipassana meditation. While living in Hawaii in 2007 I was introduced to Lama Gyaltsen Tamang of the Drikung Kagyu lineage. It was at this time that I began an in depth study of Tibetan Buddhist meditation. In 2008 I traveled to India to study Hatha Yoga. While in India I lived in Rishikesh where I spent many months studying and practicing both Vipassana and Hatha yoga on the banks of the Ganges. When I returned home I taught yoga and meditation on and off for two years before deciding that I wanted to teach yoga full time. In 2012 I returned to India, traveling north to Dharamsala, where I studied for several months at the Kalish School of yoga, receiving both my 200hr and 500hr YTT certifications in Vedic and Yogic Sciences. To further my studies in the healing arts and sciences, I will be attending the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in the fall of 2016 pursuing a masters in acupuncture and oriental medicine.
