Although Kundalini Yoga is an ancient science, it was not taught publicly until 1969, when Yogi Bhajan brought the teachings to the West. As the Master of Kundalini Yoga, Yogi Bhajan taught that Kundalini Yoga is designed to be practiced by modern-day people leading modern-day lives. It is a scientific system which combines the body (asana), breath, mudra (hand postures), mantra (sound current); balances the central nervous system, the glandular system and awakens the neurological essence of the brain. Kundalini Yoga is a fast and powerful way to recharge the body, and is designed to awaken new levels of consciousness that help us prevail over adversity and challenges. You will leave class with a greater sense of awareness, calm and totally inspired. Beginners welcomed! There are no levels in Kundalini yoga. Go at your own pace and have a greater experience of your own energy.
I am so blessed to have found Kundalini yoga over 20 years ago. It was the touchstone to my sobriety and the catalyst for a whole new level of living a conscious and connected life. There is always something new that births from continuing to do my practice such as the gifts of psychic-mediumship, which happened very early on and has now become my "day job". I had lived one way for so long (entertainment executive) and then out of the blue I added breathwork and bam, my whole world expanded for the better and quickly! I love witnessing this with the students as well!
