I began practicing yoga in 1995 and loved it but didn't notice any significant changes until I began Bikram Yoga in 2000. Within one week of attending classes in NYC, I gained muscle, lost inches around my hips and waistline and felt different, lighter, happier and excited about my potential. I had significantly low blood pressure my whole life and it normalised in 6 months. I had hereditary high cholesterol which lowered after one year of practice. I grew 3/4" and reached my full height potential. My flexibility and strength are dramatically different and the diagnostic series has afforded me great understanding on how to heal and compassion when injured or ailing, toward myself and others. I have learned to love myself truly and met my partner in life who also teaches Bikram Yoga and we run our yoga school together. We're living the dream and so grateful to this yoga and all our teachers and students for continuing to inspire and be the example of why we do what we do how we do it.
