I grew curious about yoga in university as a Medical Anthropology student, where I studied Eastern medical practices and philosophies, many which had yoga as a central theme. Since then my travels have been directed by yoga, studying, training and working in Bali, Cambodia, Thailand, Australia and India. I earned my first 200-hour certification through Yoga Alliance at Vikasa in Koh Samui, Thailand and my 500-hour certification under the amazing Bharath Shetty in Mysore, India at Yoga India. I have explored Hatha, Kundalini, Tantra, Satyananda and Ashtanga and found a physical practice that heals the physical and pranic bodies, mind and spirit. I am currently studying at Essence of Bellydance with the aim to help women uncover their feminine essence through creative movement, body and breath awareness, and intuition. Originally from California, I have lived and traveled throughout Europe, Australia, Southeast Asia and India. I believe that home isn’t a place but instead a state of mind, and we are all citizens of the world.
