RYT 400; As a Practicioner for the past 10 years, hatha yoga has always remained the consistent foundation of my practice; I completed my first teacher training at Hatha yoga school, Sun Moon Yoga in Ann Arbor. My teaching style emphasizes hatha yoga core values as a fundamental approach to building a practice on and off the mat. My classes offer specific hatha yoga methods and modifications to safely practice and explore the benefits of each posture within the boundaries and framework of any individual expression, bringing body and mind into balance through a holistic approach centered around breath work, a balance of strength building and restorative poses; conditioning in mindfulness, meditation, mantra and mudra, detail in anatomy and physiology to specifically prepare for safe and effective alignment of all postures. Experience mindful movement, an approach that accentuates the journey inward, disconnect with the connection to suffering; Work to access and develop natural energy, cultivate awareness, honor and acceptance, inner strength, focus, and clarity. All hatha yoga elements are incorporated or modified to emphasize health benefits for all ages and fitness levels.

*My second teacher training was completed in 2016 at local infrared studio, Red Yoga. A rigorous training of mind and body that is built on the foundations of ashtanga. Through this training, I have evolved in my personal practice and teaching style; both of which embody self-expression and challenge boundaries through dynamic sequencing and transitions, I encourage creative exploration in order to realize the magic of perception and the power of community and equanimity.

I teach adult and children's classes in the community; each class differs slightly in pace & intensity, all similarly influenced by the ashtanga short series and a hatha yoga foundation; strong emphasis on breath work, stilling the fluctuations of the mind, and finding steadiness and comfort through a unifying sequence of poses; all ages and experience levels welcome; modified poses are always included
