Carleena is a vibrant, creative and caring yoga instructor with 2 years of teaching experience. She was first drawn to yoga as a form of exercise, but quickly learned the healing powers of the practice. 5 years later, she is still practicing and teaching has become her passion.
In 2015, Carleena traveled to Rishikesh, India, spending 2 months studying the 8 limbs of Yoga through the methodology of Patanjali. She is a 500 Hour Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (500 E-RYT) in Hatha and Ashtanga. Her certification was completed at Shiva Yoga Peeth, also known as Shiva Yoga School.
Her Vinyasa classes incorporate fun, dance like vinyasa flows, with lots of inspiration borrowed from Ashtanga and Baptiste yoga. All Vinyasa classes end with some type of Pranayama, or breath work, and a full 5 minute Savasana.
She also currently teaches Gentle Vinyasa, Deep Hot Stretch, Power Yoga and occasionally Yin.
In addition to Carleena's yoga background, she has a Global Masters in International Non-Governmental Organizations, with a passion for sustainable development, human rights activism, and peace studies. She loves the connection that arises through traveling and seeing and meeting other people from other cultures.
