Carol Tharp-Perrin teaches Ashtanga yoga in Indianapolis. She teaches 1st and 2nd series, Mysore and mixed level classes. She also has extensive experience teaching yoga to children, to adolescents in prisons, to competitive figure skaters and to adults with Parkinson's. Carol came to Yoga through the arts. Her knowledge of the mind-body-spirit relationship has evolved through her work in interdisciplinary arts, painting, gymnastics, and figure skating, as an equestrian and as a dancer. Dance ultimately led to Yoga, which has become integral to her life's work.

After completing teacher training courses in Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga with Nancy Schalk, Carol completed the First and Second Series Ashtanga teacher certification courses with David Swenson. She has done continued teacher training with David Life and Sharon Gannon, with Tias Little, Donna Farhi, Gary Kraftsow, Jonny Kest, Beryl Bender Birch and Kino MacGregor. She has also studied with Sri. K. Pattabhi Jois, Shiva Rea, Doug Swenson, Annie Carpenter, Judith Lasater, Barbara Kennedy, Wayne Krassner, Christopher Baxter, Paul Grilley, Rolf Gates, Richard Freeman and Rodney Yee.
