I am an experienced teacher with a great love of life and yoga to share with you. I teach small classes in a sweet space, with natural light, very nurturing. Moving Into Wholeness, 104 B Pleasant Drive in Carrboro, NC. Kindly call if you want to attend a class.
I bow to my early teachers dating from the 1970s, including Hannah Carrothers, Joel Kramer and John Schummacher. I began teaching from this foundation. In 1995 I joined Swami Satchidananda's yoga family for a month long residential yoga teacher training. Ah, and saw a friend doing the fluid form of TriYoga, Kali Ray's beautiful flow, and found her and the TriYoga trainings. It is just right for me, and I have practiced and taught TriYoga ever since. I bow to my teacher, Kaliji, for her beautiful inspiration and guidance through the years, and all of my teachers who have opened and inspired me and made me a better teacher, a better person.
My life centers in the healing arts as therapist and teacher. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, and Certified in TriYoga. I am a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist, a Master Somatic Coach through the Strozzi Institute, Senior Lead Instructor in Anatomy, Physiology, Kinesiology and Pathology at the Body Therapy Institute, and a teacher trainer at the Center for Embodied Teacher Education. I have an excellent knowledge of the body in motion in health, in injury, and in illness, and can support students of all levels and abilities to find the practice that brings to life an optimal wellbeing. Most of all, we have fun and share joy and love in these classes.
