Carolyn’s journey began in 2002, stepping onto a yoga mat for the first time at the encouragement of her aunt. Moved by the experience and eager to learn more, yoga quickly became an integral part of her life. She continues to deepen her practice with the guidance and support of truly inspiring teachers.
In February of 2007, the path towards growth and learning was enriched by the opportunity to teach. Carolyn is registered with Yoga Alliance, having completed her 500 hours of training with Raji Thron at Yoga Synthesis. She also completed Erich Schiffmann’s Teacher Training at Exhale Center for Sacred Movement in Venice, CA, and is in the midst of completing a 1,000hr Professional Yoga Therapist training with Joseph Le Page of Integrative Yoga Therapy.
Carolyn favors a spacious yet flowing practice focused on the breath. This essential and transforming element tethers one to each and every moment ~ presenting the opportunity to experience objectively and explore whole-heartedly. Attentive to alignment and opening lines of energy within the body, she ultimately seeks to create a safe haven in which to play and grow.
With reverence, she offers gratitude for the blessings of yoga, and for the people it has brought into her life.
