"Carolyn was introduced to Hatha Yoga in 2001 by a friend while living on Cape Cod. After being diagnosed with lupus in 2003, Carolyn started practicing regularly as to maintain her health in living with lupus. After seeing yoga’s physical and spiritual benefits, Carolyn deepened her practice throughout the 2000’s practicing power yoga, vinyasa, and learning to relax with
restorative yoga. Carolyn completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Life and Theater Arts at Wheelock College in Boston, MA in 1996. After teaching preschool for four years, she decided to follow her passion of helping others, and went to nursing school. Carolyn worked as a nurse on Cape Cod until she relocated to Florida in 2005. In 2011, while working as a nurse in the Tampa Bay area, Carolyn decided to embark on her other passion of becoming a yoga instructor. She completed her RYT 200 in Vinyasa Yoga with Ananda Yoga's LeShan Barrios, EYRT in Tampa, FLorida, and is a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance. Carolyn loves yoga’s potential to help adults and children find calm, balance, and openness in an often chaotic world. She brings sensitivity to her teaching style and hopes students will find this welcoming, accessible and healing."
