Chandni Narvekar is a Yoga Alliance certified Experienced Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) with over 2,300 hours of teaching experience and 600 hours of yoga teacher training. You can find Chandni teaching group classes, workshops and private lessons online and in Hampshire, West Sussex and Surrey, UK.
Chandni’s style of teaching focuses on breath, body awareness and being present. Her approach is to combine the latest research in movement science with the wisdom of traditional yoga. Each person’s practice and experience may be different from their neighbour’s in class. Keeping that in mind, she offers modifications for postures and tailors the classes depending on the group. Chandni’s responsive way of teaching balances the importance of good technique with individual proficiency. Her hope is to help students practise yoga on and off the mat.
Yoga has been an integral part of Chandni’s life. Growing up in India, the principles and practise of yoga were present all around her, whether it was doing asanas (postures) or learning to chant in Sanskrit and Hindi. After moving to America, Chandni started practising Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga. Over the years she has continued her learning and brings her diverse experience of practising yoga in India, the US and the UK to her classes.
Before becoming a full-time yoga teacher Chandni was a change management consultant, working in New York City. She also studied and taught psychology.
