Chandni Narvekar is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher (RYT 500) who brings her diverse experience of practising yoga in India, the US and the UK. She currently teaches group classes and private lessons in Hampshire, West Sussex and London.
Chandni’s style of teaching focuses on breath, body awareness and being present. Each person’s yoga practise and experience may be different from their neighbour’s in class. Keeping that in mind, Chandni offers modifications for postures and tailors the classes depending on the group. Chandni’s responsive way of teaching balances the importance of good technique with individual proficiency. Her hope is to help students practise yoga on and off the mat
Yoga has been an integral part of Chandni’s life. Growing up in India, the principles and practise of yoga were present all around her, whether it was doing asanas (postures) or learning to chant in Sanskrit and Hindi. After moving to America, Chandni started practising Ashtanga and Vinyasa Flow yoga. She has continued her learning and is a 500-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT 500).
Before becoming a full-time yoga trainer Chandni was a change management consultant, working in New York City. She also studied and taught psychology. Chandni has Master of Arts degree in clinical psychology from India and a Master of Arts in industrial psychology from the US.
