Yoga is my love, Breath is my life and Movement my necessity!

Chantal was born in Zurich, raised in the Swiss Mountains and grew up in New York City. “My style is to teach authentically with some fun! I have strong classes that make you work in a healthy and safe way. I assist my students frequently and adjust the class to their needs, especially when working with an injury. " Chantal began her love affair with the human body soon after her first ski lesson and after her first dance act. She was marked for movement as soon as she could walk and took her earliest yoga class at age 5, with her mother. It wasn’t until years later, when she felt lost in the madness of New York City that Chantal made yoga a daily ritual. Now it’s an essential part of her life. “Yoga makes me understand, makes me breathe, and makes me grow.” Having had multiple physical injuries and mental blockages Chantal can’t imagine life without yoga.

Chantal has been regularly practicing various styles of yoga for over 10 years and is one of only a few certified Forrest Yoga Teachers in Switzerland. She also holds an E-RYT 500 in Hatha and Vinyasa with the US Yoga Alliance and is a member of Swiss Yoga Alliance (SYV). She has worked directly with Ana Forrest and sometimes assists at her trainings. She is also studying Ashtanga Yoga with Tim Miller. Chantal has spent more than two months in India learning about Philosophy, Pranayama and Kriyas and she is now studying Ayurveda as well as always learning more about Anatomy. She currently lives inSwitzerland with her dog and teaches Yoga in Zurich, around Europe and sometimes in New York.

Best Yoga Instructor I've had

I became discouraged with yoga classes over the years, due to bad experiences, and have been doing Yoga mostly by myself at home. Thanks to Chantal I re-discovered my joy in Yoga class here in Zurich - what an excellent teacher! Her classes are intense and she challenges you to get out of your comfort zone, yet lets you go at your own pace. She really knows how to balance the physical and spiritual aspect of Yoga: her class leaves you sweating yet perfectly content and at peace. On top of it, she is an incredibly down-to-earth, fun and kind person; take her class, you won't regret it! :-)

Grounded and Authentic

She is very grounded and focused on teaching. She understands and believes in the importance and mission of the teacher. Her cues are intelligent and help you to bring you back on the matt. She incorporates the spirituality in a very earthly way. Both times I took her class, I felt my spirit uplifted and my body soothed, calm and open!!

Chantal's energy is inspiring. She is an incredible teacher and her classes are always well thought out, challenging and fun. I love how her classes push me to explore my limits and leave me feeling motivated and energised.

Wonderful teacher - lovely classes <3

I always leave Chantal's classes lighter and with a sense of accomplishment. Chantal has a gift to ease you through those difficult postures and moments. I love the way she lets little facts and wisdoms on yoga, spirituality, anatomy, etc. flow into her classes as well as her hands on method of teaching. Her knowledge of the anatomy of the body is remarkable, the knots in your shoulders will be massaged, icky emotional buildup in your body brought to the surface and adressed, leaving you with that peaceful, happy floating feeling after class. Chantal is a wonderful person and teacher. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Extraordinary Teacher with a Fierce & Gentle Touch

Chantal's teachings are a delicious experience of fierce and luxurious hands on assists, intelligent sequencing and a caring presence wrapped up in a single private session. Each of my sessions with Chantal left me feeling spacious, content and with a deeper freedom in my body and mind. Anytime Chantal comes through NYC, she will be hired by me, I highly recommend her skills to you.

Just amazing mindblowing solid yoga for body&soul

I have experienced Chantal's class leaving with a happy, content feeling and a glow and smile on my face. The good news is, its better every time coming back! She has a pure and innocent approach with a lot of experience and te human touch one yoga teacher needs.

Very dedicated and passionate teacher

Chantal is ON IT! She is the kind of teacher you want guiding you into deep stretches, in your practice. You are safe in the knowledge that she understands the anatomy, the subtle differences in individual needs and is safety conscious. Yet this awareness of safety does not limt you. You are encouraged to achieve your best in class, whilst acknowledging your own body's limitations.

I was lucky enough to experience Chantal's teaching when she subbed one of my favorite Forrest yoga classes in Brooklyn, NY for a month. I was 7 months pregnant at the time, which I'm sure can be intimidating to some yoga teachers in a non-prenatal class, but Chantal welcomed me with a smile. She consistently offered great modifications and suggestions to help me continue my regular yoga practice in a safe and nurturing manner. I looked forward to my Thursday night class with her every week! I always left the class feeling strong, yet relaxed. I was so sad to see her go...

Simply said, Chantal is wonderful. She has an amazing way of tuning in to what your body & mind need and helps you get so much out of the practice without it feeling forced. Sehr gute Yoga-Lehrerin

Ich habe schon einige Yoga - Kurs bei Ihr besucht und werde sehr gerne wieder gehen! Sie nimmt sich Zeit für die Teilnehmer und erklärt wenn Fragen da sind. A vigorous, confident and relaxing class

It`s so nice to watch you in action! You are a very confident teacher! Your assists are with precision and strength where needed! You`ve added some new ideas of asanas to your class which I really liked! For intermediate students it was just perfect - for an absolute beginner it could be slightly too tough! I would definitely take your class again!
