Chelsea has been practicing yoga for over a decade and teaching nearly as long. Her classes are often described as Inviting, Nourishing, and Soulful, organically teaching for what is needed in the moment, rather than a canned, static combination of postures. Classes often combine poses that both strengthen and nourish, with a lot of room for play and finding what works on the individual level, always with a healthy does of laughter and curiosity for what arises. Chelsea loves to share the love and often gives soothing massages for neck, shoulders, and low back during postures. For Chelsea, the practice of yoga has been not only a transformative physical practice, but a deeply healing spiritual homecoming. She is a 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher with 4 years of study and practice in Buddhist meditation and philosophy, is certified as a Yoga of 12 Step Recovery teacher, is trauma informed, certified Yoga Nidra Level 1 instructor, and is currently completing her 1000 hour certification in Somatic Yoga Therapy. She has been fortunate enough to study with a rich roster of teachers including Janice Gates, Jill Satterfield, Prashanti de Jager, Mariana Kaplan, and Kate Holcombe. Yoga is not a destination, it is a journey and ALL are welcome. To find the path, we need only to look down at our feet. Let us come together and walk together towards true freedom!
