Chris Marrazzo BSN, RN, MAOM, RYT-500 is a Yoga Alliance registered Yoga teacher, certified Svastha Yoga Teacher, Svastha Yoga Therapist, Ayurvedic Consultant, Herbalist, and Registered Nurse. Chris completed his Yoga teacher training in Svastha Yoga in South India, as well as advanced training in the Svastha Yoga of Krishnamacharya: Therapy Program. Chris is a graduate of both the Kripalu School of Ayurveda and also has a Masters Degree in Oriental Medicine.
Chris’ main focus is teaching Svastha Yoga group classes & providing private Svastha Yoga classes with instruction customized to the individual.
Chris offers weekly meditative group Svastha Yoga classes (Monday and Wednesday evenings at 6pm-7:30pm at PB Yoga and Healing arts) in Pacific Beach .
Chris also offers private Yoga Therapy consultations in the balboa park and surrounding areas. Private sessions are by appointment. Chris may make recommendations related to diet, lifestyle, and herbs to assist health and healing. Chris also offers group workshops related to Yoga & Ayurveda. Chris’ training in the therapeutic Yoga tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya, Vedic (and Buddhist) meditation practices, his experience as an RN specializing in mental health, combined with his knowledge of various holistic healing systems, informs and broadens his vision and increases his ability to meet the health concerns of his patients.

Possess many years of experience working in holistic health as a practitioner of Ayurveda and TCM and also have years of experience as an RN working in mental health. Posses a specific interest and focus in the area of Yoga and how it can be used therapeutically to address a wide range of health concerns. Possess an academic background that is both diverse and unique, a proven work history, and specialized Yoga Training in Svastha Yoga and Ayurveda both in India and the United States.

Svastha Yoga Therapist Training
San Francisco 2011-2014
500 hour Professional program on Yoga therapy designed for Yoga teachers with instruction in the most effective therapeutic aspects of traditional Yoga & Ayurveda, combined with the discoveries of modern science. Faculty and Program Development included Ganesh Mohan MD, and Indra Mohan (close students of Sri Krishnamacharya), Dr. Dr. Günter Niessen (a specialist in orthopedic and trauma surgery with a practice in yoga and orthopedics in Berlin, and Dr. James H. Grubbs (a child and adult psychiatrist). Specific guidelines for different conditions were presented and general treatment principles detailed, empowering the therapist to safely and effectively address disabilities and ill-health through Yoga and Ayurveda.
The program was delivered in 7 intensive modules over the course of 3 years. Modules were as follows;
Module 1: Low Back, Pelvis & Lower Limb (Musculoskeletal System, Part 1)
Module 2: Upper Back, Neck & Upper Limb (Musculoskeletal System, Part 2)
Module 3, 4: Disorders of other body systems ( diabetes, asthma, hypertension etc)
Module 5, 6: Yoga psychology and issues of the mind
Module 7: Completion, integration, esoteric yoga topics

Comprehensive teacher training program that encouraged achieving personal well-being through Yoga and Ayurveda (registered at the 200-hour level with Yoga Alliance). This program taught by , Indra, and Ganesh Mohan MD presented a sound foundation in traditional yoga from Patanjali to Krishnamacharya, combined with modern science.
