Chris "Yogi Toodles" came to yoga through DVDs and a living room floor at the age of 14. After years of sporadic practice Chris finally went to a “real” class. Shortly after that, yoga became a part of daily life and a journey of experimentation. Chris loves taking classes with different yoga teachers and styles. In 2010 he graduated from Pure Prana’s Holistic Teacher Training program. After graduating from his training program he was inspired to switch his academic studies from the fine arts to health. In May of 2012 he completed Seane Corn’s Vinyasa Flow Teacher Training.
In 2013 Chris completed his BS in Health Promotion and in August 2015 he completed his MS in Health Promotion Management from American University. Chris is also a Certified Health Education Specialist. Chris loves to connect his academic studies to his yoga teaching in hopes that his students will take their off the mat and into daily life.
In class with Chris you are just as likely to hear Disclosure, AlunaGeorge or other current music as you are to hear Krishna Das or MC Yogi. Chris infuses his Power Yoga approach with stories of the poses or philosophy from ancient yoga texts, geared to our modern life.
