For me, my arthritis diagnosis and teaching yoga are integrated. I had arthritis for more than 20 years before my diagnosis and had a hard time reconciling everything I'd achieved, and my relative lack of pain, with all my joint damage. I gave my life long yoga practice the credit and now I help other people get more comfort in their joints and use the tools of yoga to manage their health.

Aqua yoga is my focus because it is kind to people's joints and is so accessible. It's an easy way to start a yoga practice, it allows people who've lost a land practice to continue, and challenges people with an active land practice to explore their bodies in new ways.

Great teacher!

I love my practice guided by Christa, as she takes the time to explain the asanas and their variations to accommodate any level of practice. She had good humor and focus and varies the practice to keep it interesting. I highly recommend her.

AWESOME with kids and disabilities

Christa led a yoga class recently for a group of children who have issues with muscles and movement. She not only was one of the big highlights of their day making the yoga fun, but she left them with some skills they could take with them. Christa was fabulous and everyone was very impressed with her positive, professional, and can do demeanor. WE LOVED CHRISTA!
