Christie began her journey with yoga in the summer of 2001. During her first yoga class, held at a local studio, she was instantly captivated by the relationship of spirituality and physical exercise. The core values and physical benefits of yoga seemed a natural fit with her ever growing interest in health and wellness. Over the years Christie has been inspired by friends and family to continue her hobbies, including experimenting with new vegan recipes and brewing Kombucha Tea. She hopes to offer her students encouragement and guidance during their asana practice which will leave them feeling motivated and refreshed upon exiting her class. Christie closely values the eight limbs of yoga on and off of the mat and hopes to inspire her students to do the same in order to develop a deeper understanding of their own practice. She completed her 200 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training at Yogawood with Beth Filla and Lisa Korchma in May of 2011. Most recently she began an Advanced 500 Hour Teacher Training at Yogawood with Hari- Kirtana Das that will conclude in January 2017.
