I have always been very performance driven in everything, whether it was in my job or in my physical activity. Yoga was long part of my practice or so I thought. Until I had to leave my beautiful home country Switzerland to move to the UAE and that my whole world changed.
This is where my yoga journey really started. Through self-discipline and true practice, I quickly experienced the holistic benefits of yoga, which helped me in my path of resilience. Before, I was stretching and working out, I wasn’t practicing yoga. Before, I was only using my body, now I am using my breath and calming my mind too.
I quickly realized that I wanted to know more about yoga, and that I wanted to share this healing process with others. I then undertook my 200hrs Hatha TT with Dr Sanjay from the Kaivalyadhama yoga school, Lonavla Pune, India at Gems of Yoga in Dubai. Rooted in traditional hatha yoga style, I see my classes as moving meditations.
