Christine Lovejoy has taught Yoga in the Coeur d’Alene area for nearly 20 years, and opened the doors to Morning Light Yoga in December 2001.
She is certified through the Pacific Yoga Teachers Training and Advanced Studies Program in Seattle, WA and is registered with Yoga Alliance. She co-owns and manages Life Center Therapies for Well-Being and has been a Washington State Licensed Massage Practitioner since 1989 as well as a licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Idaho.
She enjoys her role as a Ceremonial Officiant; and has created individualized ceremonies for weddings, memorial services and coming-of-age rituals.
Her students are guided towards body, breath and mind awareness as they engage in Yoga’s classical poses and slow flow movements. She gives gentle encouragement- supporting each student towards wholeness and optimal health.
Christine's teaching style is influenced by her formal study of the Yoga Sutra of Pantajali, as a student of the Buddhist traditions, and by her daily practice. Her aspiration is inspired by the words of Shantideva: "For as long as space endures and as long as sentient being remain; may I, too, remain to dispel the suffering of the world."
