When I first began my yoga practice I could not touch my toes, suffered from muscle spasms, insomnia, mood swings and hot flashes just to name a few symptoms. My flexibility and balance have improved greatly. The insomnia and other symptoms went away within a few months. Yoga taught me to understand and develop a strong connection between body, mind and spirit. For me yoga is about freedom, letting go of what no longer serves you and living life fully in the present moment.
