Clarissa is the founder of Red Hot Yoga in Guildford, Surrey. She has been teaching for 9 years. Clarissa certified as a Bikram Yoga teacher in 2005 and she taught in yoga studios all over the South East of England and around the world when she went on a sabbatical in 2007-2008. She continues to attend different training courses to deepen her knowledge of the various Yoga disciplines.
Clarissa has certificed as a Bikram Yoga teacher; Ante-natal teacher; Moksha Yoga teacher; and Yin Yoga teacher and continues to attend workshops and trainings to be inspired by Judith Lasater (Restorative Yoga), Shiva Rea (Fluid Power), Jason Crandell (Ashtanga) and Norman Blair (Yin Yoga).
Clarissa opened Red Hot Yoga in March 2011 and her philosophy as a studio owner is to offer a wide range of different Yoga classes, both hot, warm and room temperature that all compliment each other well and offer a class for every student.
She aims to provide an experienced and professional teacher for every type of Yoga and every type of student, from the professional athlete looking to reduce their risk of injury (the Harlequins Rugby team practise at her studio regularly) to the life long couch potato who has decided it's time to do something about it.
Her motto is 'Unwind Your Body And Mind', which she thinks neatly sums up why you should do Yoga. It is the antidote to everything modern life throws at us.
