Colin grew up surfing and playing baseball and soccer. While in college, he found his true athletic passion in rugby. After many years of playing competitively and multiple injuries, he decided to search for a safer athletic outlet. While recovering from his third knee surgery, Colin found yoga. Yoga and its physical, mental, and emotional benefits provided him with the confidence to take up new found passions of Brazilian jiu jitsu and judo (he wanted to take up something safer, after all).
Colin is a proud member of the Broga® Yoga teaching team. He is also an instructor in MovNat, a physical education and fitness system based on the full range of natural human movement skills, and he is certified in the Functional Movement Screen, a system to analyze human movement patterns and apply corrective exercises. All of these strongly inform his approach to mindful movement in all aspects of a healthy life. He has balanced this with a career in medical and renewable energy startups, and now a full-time executive with Broga. He is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a 200 hour Certified Yoga Teacher through Back Bay Yoga.
