Colleen first came to yoga in 2001 because of her love of movement and to her surprise (and joy) found a love of stillness along the way. Discovering the healing power of her mind-body has been an ongoing and profound experience which she loves to share with yoga students. She creates a nurturing and playful environment which she hopes will help others to truly inhabit, heal and enjoy their bodies.
Currently, Colleen has students ranging from ages 14 to 99. She offers chair yoga classes at Foothill Village in Angels Camp, gentle yoga for seniors as well as Vinyasa based classes for all levels. During the school year she offers teen yoga sessions.
Colleen has completed a 200 hour teacher training in Ashtanga based vinyasa yoga with Dana Rae Paré and has also completed trainings in Yin Yoga, Kundalini, Tri-Yoga and Yoga for Teens. She is a credentialed high school science teacher and a mom of two boys.
Her plans for continuing her training include becoming a physical therapist to create a clinic that integrates yoga therapy with physical therapy.
