Concepcion was born and raised in Manila, Philippines and migrated to the United States in June 2002. It was definitely a change of lifestyle, as she had to manage work and school when she first moved to the US. Like many others, in order to manage the stress, she tried different types of exercise which did not keep her interested and focused enough to keep a consistent regimen, until she found yoga.

She was first introduced to yoga at her local gym 5 years ago, taught by Joseph Stingley and has been practicing since. Yoga has helped her in all areas of her life; physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has also helped her get back in shape after only months of giving birth to her first child.

Concepcion believes that yoga is a gift which should be shared with everyone, and so she decided to take teacher training in 2012 and received a 200 hour yoga teacher certification through Soul Motivation in May 2013 and she recently completed her second 200 hour teacher training at Castle Hills Yoga with Ricky Tran and Deanna Shires in May 2015. Con is very grateful to have learned from many teachers namely Joseph Stingley, Jessica Jane Smith, Kathryn Budig, Briohny Kate Smyth and Dice Iida-Kline, Ramaswami Srivatsa, Asha Rao, Arun Deva, David Williams, Clifford Sweatte, Deanna Shires and Ricky Tran.

Very hands on Instructor

Con will make sure you get the full benefit of a pose. She will definitely adjust as needed but always assures us to listen to our bodies. Great learning experience and a great workout.

Excellent for all.

I was a beginner to yoga when I took Concepcion's class. I was very anxious trying yoga for the first time and she quelled all of my fears. She went at a pace that I could follow, yet challenged me at the same time. She made sure to explain each stretch and thoroughly showed us the intended target areas of each move. Being that this was my first time, she took the time to correct my posture whenever necessary and provided me with positive reinforcement. Once she could tell we were picking up the movements she would challenge us with something new. I would highly recommend Concepcion to anybody trying yoga for the first time or for the 100th time. I look forward to our next class.

Experienced instructor who knows what she is doing.

I've always wanted to try yoga but was always extremely hesitant. Then a good friend of mine recommended I try Concepcion. Needless to say, I was very satisfied with my first visit and every visit thereafter. Her technique keeps me coming back and my body is feeling great. I can keep going on and on about Concepcion, but I know nobody likes to read long reviews. If you are hesitant at trying yoga or are a pro, I recommend Concepcion 100% of the time.
