I have been practicing yoga for 14 years, and what started as exercise and rehabilitation for an ACL-repair has blossomed into a full-fledged love affair. I obtained my RYT 200-hr certification in the YogaWorks method from Lakshmi (Angie) Norwood in March 2014, as part of a teacher training collaboration between Tahoe Yoga & Wellness Center and YogaWorks.
I teach YogaWorks-style classes, which are alignment-based flow classes that utilize Sun Salutations to warm the body and skillfully sequenced postures with modifications and props as appropriate, all combined with an awareness of the breath. I really enjoy teaching to yoga "newbies" and athletes of all levels - yoga is a great addition to training for all sports!
Like most residents and visitors in this area, I love the outdoors, especially snowboarding and all things bike-related. I am excited to share my love of yoga with all who join me in a class and I look forward to seeing your happy faces on the mat!
