Learning and practicing the 8 limbs of yoga has vastly improved my overall wellness, happiness and clarity. I am a believer in bridging the gap between yoga practice and every day life. My goal as a teacher is to empower others to bring their body mind and spirit into balance through yoga.
I believe the 8 limbs of yoga are a method of staying in centered when things get hectic. It is a way to breathe through unpleasant emotions and replace them with strength and contentment. Yoga lets us find beauty in the never ending connections between ourselves and the universe, which to me is happiness in it's pure form.
I was introduced to yoga by mother as a form of therapy for a childhood disease that I suffered from. In one way or another Yoga has been part of my life ever since.
Teaching yoga to children and adults gives me a forum to wrap up my many passions into one comprehensive practice that I can share with others. And I am grateful for yoga and to have the privilege of sharing it with my community.
I received my yoga training at Wainwright House Yoga Teacher Training Academy and my children's certification with Young Mountain Yoga. In addition, I am a licensed teacher in the State of New York.
