I grew up surrounded by the practice of yoga. My mom has been a yoga teacher for over 20 years. Despite my early exposure to yoga, I spent many years searching for my calling. I went to college, traveled, and held numerous different jobs. It wasn’t until 2014 that I recognized the true meaning of yoga in my own mind, body, and heart. I envisioned myself teaching yoga and quickly began my new journey of becoming a teacher.
Yoga has been a strong medicine for me. Through my practice of yoga, I have developed a deeper and more honest relationship with myself. One of the yogic guidelines called Satya (truth, integrity, honest expression, owning feelings, conscious communication) has been the most powerful tool for me.
“Living the life that cries to be lived from the depth of our being frees up our energy and vitality. The juices flow. Everyone around us benefits from the aliveness that we feel.”- Deborah Adele,
The Yamas and Niyamas
I hope to bring healing and inspiration to my community through yoga. I was trained in Kripalu yoga; a practice of transformation through compassion, self-acceptance, honesty and relaxation. The inclusion of yoga philosophy in my classes reinforces intentions and a more thorough understanding of the yogic lifestyle and lineage. I trust that through a consistent yoga practice, great gains are possible in every aspect of life. With a background in dance, I offer classes that are gracefully empowering while also gently nurturing to the spirit. Come practice with me as we connect to the power of our truth and enjoy the bliss of life!
