Jamaican-born with Haitian roots, Danielle moved to Haiti in July, 2012. Although it was primarily to open Haiti's first yoga studio, Project Zen with Haitian based partners, Danielle also wanted to reconnect with her father's homeland. A dream she had from she was a little girl on her first visit to the island.
After the short lived collaboration at Project Zen, Danielle co-founded, Ayiti Yoga Co. (AYC) in January 2014. AYC is a budding business collective that offers classes, retreats and workshops, classes, a youth outreach program, and builds partnerships in the development of nurturing and spreading the practice to the Haitian community.
With her inspiration driven by the continued support of persons who have made the practice of yoga a part of their everyday life, Danielle opened her studio, yogawithdanielle in January 2014, located in Petion-Ville, Haiti.
