Danielle started practicing yoga while she was in college in 1995 and immediately fell in love with it. Since that time she has never stopped practicing!
Her curiosity has led her to a variety of Yoga styles and traditions including Kripalu, Ashtanga Vinyasa, Vinyasa Flow, and Viniyoga amongst others. She has been teaching since 2006 when she completed her initial teacher training in Vinyasa Yoga in New York City with Lea Kraemer (Yoga Alliance 200h).Danielle has also done extensive training in Ayurveda "the sister science of yoga " with a focus on learning how nutrition and lifestyle changes can be used to positively influence our energy and well being, as well as preventatively.
Danielle continues to learn and teach with an emphasis on individually adapted yoga practice. In other words, she is a firm believer in using the forms and tools of yoga to serve the individual and not the other way around.
Her classes offer a unique blend of physical challenge and effort with deep relaxation, always with the aim of bringing more mindfulness, joy, and with it a little sense of humor to our day.
Danielle is originally from Boston, Massachusetts but has been living in Switzerland since she relocated from New York in 2009. She now resides happily with her family in Olten. She teaches in English and German.
