My yoga journey started in Thailand in 1989 with senior Ashtanga yoga instructor Danny Paradise. From there, the love of yoga took me to India to work with Pattabhi Jois himself at the Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute. Intrigued by the depth of the practice, I then worked with BKS Iyengar in Puna.
Upon completing my initial studies in the east, life found me in Christina Lake, BC. I continued to pursue my passion for movement and yogic philosophy, with frequent trips back to India and to Boulder, CO to study at the Rolf Institute and Richard Freeman. In 2000, I met my teacher in Calgary. Dr. Norman Sjoman opened my eyes to new possibility in movement and perspective on yoga.
In 2001, I met Gert VanLeuwaan, the creator of Critical Alignment Yoga. Ever since, I have been teaching and studying Critical Alignment Yoga, Advanced Asana, therapeutics and functional movement of of my studio Yoga Therapy and Bodywork in Calgary, AB.
