I have a bachelors degree in human development, with a minor in sociology. For the bulk of my adult life I have worked in corporate America. After being laid off after a decade I decided I wanted to learn to teach. I have attended a training with YogaFit international. I have a certificate and taught senior citizens for two years. I hurt my hamstring and took a break. I am now enrolled in a full 200 hour teacher training program. I will complete within the next year. My aim is to pass the gift of yoga onto others as I knew the power it could/and does have in my life.
When I was first introduced to the practice around 10 years ago. I fell in love. I learned to be more in touch with my spirit, my breath and my body. I was able to de-stress much quicker than before. I felt strong. I wanted to make other changes in my life for the better, such as diet and more exercise. It is a continued journey for me, with no competition or arrival. I believe we all learn and practice at our own pace.
