Darina was, in her own words, ‘blown away’ by the physical and mental benefits of yoga practice. She continued her training in Barcelona with Xavier Sola and Pilar Ruberte. She was furtherinspired by teachers such as Tomas Zorzo, Danilo Hernandez, Nicolas Evans,Bridget Woods Kramer and Donna Farhi. The styles of yoga that Darina has now
trained in include shivananda, ashtanga, iyenger, anusara and vinyasa flow. She
has also taken part in Somatic yoga training courses.
After 7 years training and teaching in Barcelona, she returned home to Ireland to open her own yoga studio and retreat centre at Faungorth Activity Centre, just outside Kenmare.
Here she teaches dynamic and gentle classes, and an introduction to meditation
in a lovely, purpose-built centre.
Practicing and teaching over the years,
Darina has developed her own unique style which she adapts depending on the
needs of the specific students.
