Dawn has been teaching yoga in Seattle since 1995. Her teaching style evolved from a passion for lifelong learning and movement arts. Trained in various movement systems including dance, theatre, and martial arts, she began practicing yoga in 1991 while attending The New School for Social Research in New York. Dawn mixes a variety of techniques, breaks down movement concepts with straightforward simplicity and works with students of all levels to create classes with individual instruction. Inspired by teachings on vinyasa, body mechanics and the parasympathetic nervous system, Dawn instructs creative sessions that explore alignment in advancing movement patterns, concentration in stationary postures and playfulness in their respective transitions. She is dedicated to sharing her years of experience and provides a variety of yoga sessions at studios, schools, farms and community events to all walks of life from adults to young people.
