Yoga helped me, in my unique form, find the body awareness and self acceptance that I needed to overcome frustration and self doubt. I took that gift a step further and have achieved pretty incredible (see: unlikely) things.
I started my practice 12 years ago and in that time, I've run 2 half marathons, gained a silver medal in the Australian National Paracycling Road Championships (2012) and won the International Pole Championships in 2012 and again in 2015, both times in Hong kong.
I spent my early years trapped in my head, disconnected from the body I perceived as imperfect and flawed.
It was through yoga that I learned to accept that I am exactly as I show up to the mat and to appreciate the things my body can do, on any given day, freed from judgement and expectation.
I completed my yoga teacher training with Power Living Australia Yoga (Duncan Peak) in 2012 and have a special love for backbends, hand balances and inversions. You can regularly find me at the London Dance Academy, Blok London, The Third Space Soho, or covering classes at Gymbox Clubs across the city.
