To me Yoga is a flexible and solid guide for balanced living. Offering a framework that can be adapted to suit the specific needs of nearly any individual so that they may find greater balance of steadiness and ease in life.
Before finding yoga, my life was far from balanced. I struggled with life long eating disorders along with addiction and substance abuse, leading to a pretty unhealthy depressed state of being. It was through yoga that I finally climbed out of that terrible self dug hole and started truly feeling alive.
The changes in my life were so freeing that I feel compelled to share the practice with others, it just feels too good not to. I began my teacher training in 2013 while finishing my undergrad in Special Education and Speech and Hearing Sciences, and haven't stopped continuing the learning journey since.
In my classes you can expect guided pranayama, intelligently cued asana sequences, hands on assists, culminating in a refreshingly restorative savasana, all designed to stretch and strengthen your body, focus and calm your mind, brining them fully together in a balanced state of sthira and sukham, steadiness and ease if you please.
I teach 8 regular weekly public classes and a variety of specialty classes and workshops throughout the year in south shore Massachusetts. I a certified yoga teacher with trainings in hatha, vinyasa, power, yin, restorative, yoga for anxiety, yoga for eating disorders, yoga for trauma, and yoga for children.
Along with my public classes I offer private instruction and my two local studios- in Foxboro and Walpole Mass- and am willing to travel to clients homes within a reasonable distance.
