Deborah Lee Bernal has been practicing yoga since 1982. She is a yoga and North African dance instructor, Reiki and Colorpuncture practitioner, and has done extensive training in meditation, traditional Chinese medicine, Native American and traditional African healing practice. Her yoga training has included Hatha yoga, Vinyasa yoga and Kemetic yoga. She has been a yoga instructor since 1991. She uses yoga to maintain her own health and vitality and recommends it highly to her patients.
She is a board-certified specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with over 30 years of experience in this field. She is currently the Medical Director of WellSpan Physiatry practicing spine care holistically. Dr. Bernal’s mission of integration of spine care management is for a cultural paradigm shift in both providers, patients and the community. Our spinal alignment speaks to our physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. She uses her integrated and holistic health background to empower persons in lifestyle change and in taking personal responsibility for their healing process.
