Denise is the founder of Youth Nation Yoga, located in Brewster, NY. She is also an educator with the Somers Central School District where she teaches English language arts at the middle school level. Denise completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2013 with Yoga Culture, Danbury, CT. As a long-time yogi, Denise always shared yoga and mindfulness with her students. She knew in her heart that children needed a practice that supported their growing developmental needs, physically, emotionally and socially which is why she enrolled in Little Flower Yoga's teacher training program in 2015. Since then she has taught local children in studios, schools and public libraries. Additionally, she's studied extensively with Mindful Schools, completing their Year Long Certification Course.

As a classroom teacher at both the elementary and middle school levels, she’s come to discover how stressed our children are these days. With the demands of school, extracurricular activities, friend & family obligations and the use of technology, kids need to learn more than ever how to slow down, take a breath and pause. As an educator, Denise's intention is to bring a movement and mindfulness practice to as many children as possible, helping them to be the best version of themselves, one breath, one movement, one moment at a time.

Denise is also a certified Yin Yoga teacher and also trained with Liberation Prison Yoga where she teaches trauma-conscious yoga and mindfulness classes to the women of Taconic Correctional Facility.
