Denise was first introduced to yoga in 1999, when she entered her first Ashtanga class. She received her 200-hour certification in 2004 through New York Yoga under the direction of David Hollander, Michael Gilbert and Govinda Kai. Denise completed a prenatal certification at OM Yoga in 2005.
Denise's classes are playful and challenging, incorporating elements of Ashtanga, Jivamukti and other flow styles. She seeks to create a soulful class inspired by her love of music, poetry, and yogic philosophy as students are guided into moving meditation. She encourages her students through a practice that embraces breath as the link between body, mind and spirit.
Denise is a Teacher Trainer at the Long Island Yoga School. She teaches the Advanced Asana, Prenatal Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Creative Prop Use modules for the Prana Shaki Flow 200 hour Teacher Training Program. She is incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share the inspiring gift of yoga with others.
Denise teaches at Yoga Life in Port Washington, Bonda East in Great Neck, and Bonda West in Bayside. Her studio schedule can be found on her website:
