With the ability to demonstrate some of the most difficult postures and--even more amazingly--getting students to experience the same sequences, Desirée has a well-earned reputation for deepening even the most advanced practices. She does it with a sense of humor balanced with a quest for authenticity. Most surprising about her teaching is her ability to tap into the student’s vulnerable spaces to access these wonderful poses. Her unique ability to draw out the bright and shining light from within every student, no matter what level of yoga experience, is her gift to the world.

Unfortunately, I can not attend your classes as I live in the UK, but I did a few on youtube as part of my regular self-practice. You are such an amazing teacher. Your embodied knowledge on yoga is impressive. After one of your classes, I felt such positive difference and change that for me it opened a new way of approaching the practice altogether! I hope to meet you one day.

Desirée Rumbaugh teaches yoga for the long haul

I've had the pleasure of studying yoga with Desiree Rumbaugh several times. Desiree is very experienced and has a true gift for breaking down a pose into it's most basic elements. She finds one or two tiny little adjustments to the pose that often seem a little strange or contradictory (like keeping your thigh back while leaning forward) and it's like a light bulb goes off in your body and mind and everything changes. Desiree's classes are so accessible to so many levels.

If you are brand new to yoga...lucky you. You get to start off right. And if you are an experienced yogi...lucky you. You get to learn something exciting and new that makes you fall in love with yoga all over again.

I admire Desiree's passion and energy for teaching. The fact that she is middle aged (shhh...don't tell anyone, cause she sure doesn't look it), helps me to relate with her even more (because I'm middle aged too...shhh).

If you have never studied with Desiree, DO IT AS SOON AS YOU CAN. Then, you'll see what I mean.
