Hi! I've been teaching yoga for almost 19 years in San Diego's east county areas. I currently teach most of my yoga classes at A Gentle Way Yoga and Joyful Movement Center in La Mesa. My classes range from semi-active to active hatha. My educational background is in kinesiology and biomechanics, so I'm dedicated in weaving safe biomechanical principles together with traditional yoga philosophy in all of my classes.

In addition to teaching group and private yoga sessions at A Gentle Way, I am also available for private in-home yoga sessions. I have a private practice Shala where I teach on-on-on yoga therapy sessions, as well as intimate, small group (2-3 people). For additional information, check

I am a master yoga teacher in two local yoga teacher training schools: A Gentle Way Yoga Center and Elka Yoga and Wellness Center. My main focus is teaching anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, however, I instruct a number of other topics as well.

In December of 2015 the second edition of "Instructing Hatha Yoga: A Guide for Teachers and Students" was published, and it looks on-track to being as successful as the first edition, which I co-wrote with Kathy Lee Kappmeier.
