Dina began taking yoga classes in 2007 as a way to relieve stress from the task of writing her thesis during her Masters Degree in the Department of Art History at Concordia University, for which is is currently employed. She committed to a consistent yoga practice in 2013 after an ankle injury playing soccer, when Dina gave up team sports and realigned her physical activities to regain control, balance, strength and stability for her body. Her first yoga retreat with Rachel Brathen, YOGA GIRL, changed her life in 2014. In 2016 she completed the 250 hr Luna Yoga Teacher Training and leaped into teaching. Sometimes energetic and dynamic, at other times slow and steady, the physical practice Dina instructs always incorporates mindful breath and movement. She hopes to liberate her students from preconceived ways they define themselves to honor and accept their authentic selves, realizing how truly awesome they are. Dina’s teaching, and daily meditation practice, both reflect her beliefs in truth, love and self-care.
