Douchka is a 200-hour Yoga Alliance experienced registered yoga teacher with over 15 years of practice and experience in yoga science. With a vast knowledge on Ayurveda, nutrition, lifestyle counseling and aromatherapy, she considers herself an “eternal” student constantly exploring and researching on alternative therapies and techniques to help relieving aches and pains in our stressful world. She’s committed to her true mission of sharing yoga with others as a powerful Tool of Life.

Even though she's originally known for her original specialty - a unique restorative flow, on the floor, very grounding and nurturing - she also enjoys the challenge of teaching high energy “flow and hold-pose” sequences, paying special attention to proper alignment. Among other influencers, she's studied the Anusara principles of alignment with Kelly Haas, and shares those in her teaching as a foundation and to help students work on past injuries and present health conditions.

Her life and yoga philosophy are inspired in Tantra, at its pure essence, with the body sacredness being at the core of her self-care practice as a tool for healing and self-realization.

In 2011, she co-founded Yana Shala with the mission of developing and presenting workshops, seminars and retreats on the various aspects of the Yoga science, and other healing and self-development disciplines. She's currently co-leading with Barb Totzke 'Manifest Your Inner Teacher', a 9-module program (200-hr Yoga Alliance Certified) in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Providing all the tools that are the foundation of her own practice and teachings, this program takes the student on a journey of self-inquiry, self-discovery, practicing and learning from personal experience, to organically give birth to the Inner Teacher.
