My name is Ashish Arya, I am a 35-year-old Homeopathic doctor turned passionate Yoga Teacher.
I have spent most of my life studying and working in Jaipur. After running my own homeopathic practice for the past 5.5 years. Then I decided to change the direction of my life and started dedicating myself full time to the practice of yoga. Having successfully completed my first teacher training course in Nov 2015 under my Guru Pt. RadheShyam Misra Ji, Ujjain. My urge to dive deeper in this field brought me to the world-renowned Sivananda Organisation, In my case, to the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Ashram in Kerala, where I did TTC in Dec 2016 and ATTC in March 2018. Over the past two years, I fully immersed in the Ashram way of life and was able to gather highly valuable practice and teaching experiences in predominantly Hatha Yoga. This also included the assisting of 4 Teacher Training Courses with students from across the globe as well as one Kids Camp. My time in the Ashram has not only allowed me to develop my own practice to a very advanced level but more importantly, it gave me the chance to savor what it means to become a teacher. My people management skills were put to a test multiple times, but those were the moments I grew most. I am passionate about helping people from different parts of the world and different cultural backgrounds discover the power and potential Yoga has to offer and am happy to assist them according to their own rhythm. Designing classes according to the needs of my students allows me to tap into my creativity while at the same time allowing them to improve their skills better.
In addition to working and teaching in the Ashram over the past two years, I also completed a Master program in Yoga Therapy, Svyasa Bengaluru, which further allows me to understand and adapt to the individual needs in a Yoga class.
Looking for a new challenge outside of the Ashram environment, I am highly motivated and self-disciplined, able to handle pressure and not scared of taking on new tasks.
