Ed is an RYT- 200/ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher), and a Black Belt/Instructor in the traditional Korean Martial Art of Tang Soo Do. He initially studied Yoga at Unity Woods, a school in the tradition of Iyengar. He received his training as a Yoga Teacher from US1 Yoga through Little River Yoga, where he was trained in a variety of styles, but specializing in Iyengar, Ashtenga and Viniyoga. His classes are primarily based on the styles of Hatha Yoga know as Viniyoga and Iyengar. Viniyoga combines breath with motion in a therapeutic flow of movement. Iyengar emphasizes proper alignment, achieved through use of props where appropriate, physical adjustments, and holding poses for a slightly longer period of time. Ed was formerly a civilian attorney with the Office of the General Counsel, Department of the Navy, where his positions included Assistant General Counsel of the Navy (Research, Development and Acquisition), Deputy Counsel, Naval Air Systems Command, and Counsel, Office of Naval Research. His awards include Meritorious Civilian Service Award (Twice), Superior Civilian Service Award, and Presidential Meritorious Executive, Senior Executive Service. He received his degree in Sociology from Howard University, Washington, , and Juris Doctor Degree from Loyola University, New Orleans, Louisiana.
