Since 2009 I have been teaching Hatha yoga in group classes and private yoga sessions. My specialties are in Prenatal Yoga, Mom and Baby Yoga and beginner to intermediate students. What you may not know about me is that before becoming a yoga teacher I was a classically trained dancer for about 20 years; and an executive assistant with 15 years spent in the corporate world.
Since I’ve been on stage the majority of my life I find it comforting to be in front of an audience. It’s a privilege to be responsible for “holding the space.” Although I’m an introvert, it’s exciting to share what I’ve discovered through the practice of yoga and through alternative healing modalities.
My yogic background is in Hatha yoga from the Samkhya philosophy. When you practice with me you’ll notice my attention to the nuances of the postures as it carries into each transition to the next pose. You might not even notice the shift from one pose to the next! I also include a great deal of opportunities to explore how the movements feel in the body and what feelings may arise throughout our time together.
